NGC 457 (Caldwell 13), also known as the "Owl Cluster" or "E.T. Cluster" is a very young open cluster located in the constellation of Cassiopeia. It contains about eighty stars and is estimated to be around 5,200 light-years away from the Sun. Recent estimates suggest that this cluster is 21 million years old and spans about 46 light-years.
This image was shot in LRGBH, and to our surprise, there's a lot of hydrogen in the background!
